Life stems itself
beneath my bustling mind,
As we behold death
through man's illusioned eyes.
As time becomes a diversion from self, so must we exist for existence to end.
Through the deceit, one can sacrifice rememberance for the sake of a comfortable mind.
To think that there is no end,
passed the edge of consciousness.
Blind to the truth it bends,
the elephant forgets its impermanence.
Deprived of distraction,
I will leave the cave of my head.
A blinding salvation,
as I behold death.

Do we escape
still subject to nature?
Denying one's instincts
under guise of enlightenment.
Do I leave the cave
as more than a creature?
Or is nirvana
exclusive to happenstance?
